Skill Development

The Trust has been conducting various skill development programs for the members so that they can earn their livelihood by starting sustainable income generation programs.

Scholarships

The Trust encourages its members to educate their children so that they can escape the trap of poverty. Scholarship is given to those children who have done well in their secondary and higher secondary examinations. Rs.5000 for secondary examination and Rs.10,000 for higher secondary examinations. The trust has distributed Rs.18, 97,500 till date, as scholarship to 693 children of the members.

Telemedicine Project

Mahasemam Trust and Meenakshi Mission Hospital and Research Centre (MMHRC) have joined hands to address the issue of lack of quality healthcare services. In this programme telemedicine equipment is located at rural center, supported by mobile diagnostic services (equipped with X-ray, ultrasound and other facilities for lab tests) and mobile telemedicine unit for specialty care.

Legal Aid

The Trust provides free legal aid to its members in matters associated to family disputes. The Trust has a legal manager at HO and at every division office. On an average the Trust provides guidance to 25-30 members in legal matters per year.

Insurance

Mahasemam Trust has tied up with insurance companies like Bajaj Allianze to provide insurance cover to its members. More Details

Releif & Reconstruction
TSUNAMI RELIEF OPERATIONS
Mahasemam is in the forefront to provide relief measures in case of any natural or unnatural calamity. The Trust has provided extensive relief measures to the Tsunami victims and helped them to come to terms with life. Mahasemam provided food, clothing and medical attention to the victims. Helped fishermen to build their boats, provided them with fishing nets so that they can start their livelihood.
