Mahasemam also assists Voluntary Health Services Chennai in implementing Tamilnadu AIDS Initiative Programme at Madurai‚ thus creating awareness among sex workers and other vulnerable groups in preventing AIDs. Mahasemam in association with SRM group of hospitals‚ Chennai provides Subsidized Medical benefits to its members.

Skill Development
 
The Trust has been conducting various skill development programs for the members so that they can earn their livelihood by starting sustainable income generation programs.

Scholarships
 
The Trust encourages its members to educate their children so that they can escape the trap of poverty. Scholarship is given to those children who have done well in their secondary and higher secondary examinations. Rs.5000 for secondary examination and Rs.10,000 for higher secondary examinations. The trust has distributed Rs.18, 97,500 till date, as scholarship to 693 children of the members.

Festival Gifts

All members are given a Sari as a festival gift. The Trust also organizes annual meet of all center leaders where they get an opportunity to interact with each other and share their experiences.

Legal Aid
 
The Trust provides free legal aid to its members in matters associated to family disputes. The Trust has a legal manager at HO and at every division office. On an average the Trust provides guidance to 25-30 members in legal matters per year.

Savings
 
Members are encouraged to save some amount of their earning per week. This money can be used by them in the time of need.

Insurance
 
Mahasemam Trust has tied up with insurance companies like Bajaj Allianze and ICICI LOMBARD to provide insurance cover to its members.    More Details

TSUNAMI RELIEF OPERATIONS
 
Mahasemam is in the forefront to provide relief measures in case of any natural or unnatural calamity. The Trust has provided extensive relief measures to the Tsunami victims and helped them to come to terms with life. Mahasemam provided food, clothing and medical attention to the victims. Helped fishermen to build their boats, provided them with fishing nets so that they can start their livelihood.
